ACTRESS PRIYANKAA GOES BOOK SHOPPING AT INDUS - THE BOOK STORE ON THE OCASSION OF WORLD BOOK DAY

Actress Priyankaa goes book shopping at Indus - the Bookstore, Grand Hyatt, Kalina, Mumbai on the occassion of World Books Day (International Books Day)

Indus – the Bookstore at the Grand Hyatt, Kalina in suburban Mumbai hosted a special visitor on 23rd April - World Book Day. Television, Marathi film actress and glam doll Priyankaa was spotted shopping for some exquisite designer books and Limited Edition collectors books.

Mumbai’s premier and exclusive book lover’s hangout Indus – the Bookstore had earlier this month announced a unique exhibition and sale of special Limited Edition and Collector’s Books from across the world.

On World Book Day, Gangadharan Javahar, Managing Director – Dolphin Publications Pvt Ltd said, “The Collector’s Book Festival at Indus at the Grand Hyatt in suburban Mumbai is an opportunity not to be missed. Rare, Limited Edition books - that are not available anywhere else in the country and in some cases anywhere in the world - are on display and sale. What’s worthy of mention is that all the books are priced at the regular Indian retail price without any markup, so luxury shopping for books comes at no added cost,” said Javahar, adding that Indus was privileged to have film actress Priyankaa at the store.

Television and film actress Priyankaa who is an amateur author and poet herself, dropped in the bookstore to pick up some Collector’s Editions. Speaking to media persons after her shopping she said, “My manager Flynn Remedios had mentioned that Indus at the Grand Hyatt has some Collectors Books. I wanted to buy the book hand signed by Pele, which is a Limited Editon and costs about Rs 1.5 lakh, but it was too steep for my pocket. The other books that I personally like were the ones on Michelangelo and Valentino – both of which are collectors’ editions and cost a small fortune.” Priyankaa finally picked up a book on Mother Teresa and Barrack Obama, besides some novels and a book on Jewellery.

Indus – the book store is located at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, which has a luxury mall housing most of the world’s leading luxury brands. It has another outlet located strategically at The ITC Maratha Sheraton, Mumbai and the Taj Residency, Nashik. The store has a special section devoted to rare books which are unavailable elsewhere. The book on Pele which is hand signed by him has only about a 1000 copies published world over and costs about Rs 1.5 lakh. Valentino and Panchatantra cost close to a lakh.
